Pakistani-American businessman Ali Sheikhani has introduced the ‘Rozgar Scheme’ in Ramazan, aimed at fostering self-sufficiency among individuals in Pakistan.
“I am simply trying to assist in meeting the necessary needs,” he said while appearing on Aaj News’s Ramazan transmission Baran-e-Rehmat on Tuesday.
The businessman, who joined the Sehri transmission of the news channel, underscored the importance of collaboration in achieving “meaningful change.”
He said: “The idea for the scheme arose from the pressing issue of unemployment in the country.”
Under the scheme, Sheikhani said that his team, with the JDC Foundation’s support, would provide motorcycles for delivery services, distribute Android phones to people to access online job platforms, and offer rickshaws as a means of sustainable income.
