A passenger van traveling from Rawalpindi to Ayubia plunged into a ravine near Abbottabad, resulting in three fatalities and injuring 11 others.
Police reported that four of the injured were in critical condition.
The accident occurred due to heavy rain and snowfall.
Meanwhile, adverse weather conditions continue to impact the northern regions. Snowfall has intensified the cold in Naran, Kaghan, and Shogran, where temperatures have dropped below freezing.

In Ghizer, a massive landslide at Gech has blocked the Gilgit-Chitral road.
Balakot is experiencing heavy rainfall, while landslides in Kohistan temporarily closed the Karakoram Highway, which has now been reopened after 36 hours.
Authorities provided shelter to 300 stranded passengers, with women housed in a primary school and men in a high school in Dassu. Food was also distributed among 150 women and 200 men.
In Pattoki’s Balloki area, a fire broke out in a laborer’s home, injuring two disabled girls.
Seven-year-old Ayesha succumbed to her injuries, while three-year-old Sonia remains hospitalised. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
In another incident, a gas cylinder explosion in Haripur’s Alam village killed a child and injured four others.
Meanwhile, in Rawalpindi’s Fauji Colony, a gas leak triggered an explosion, leaving a family of four — husband, wife, and two children — severely burned.
They were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
