‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ sees remarkable box office comeback after re-release

The 2016 romantic drama ‘Sanam Teri Kasam,’ featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, has made an unexpected and impressive comeback at the domestic box office following its re-release. Originally launched nine years ago, the film struggled during its initial run but is now experiencing a notable resurgence.

Released on February 7, just ahead of Valentine’s week, ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ had minimal promotional support yet quickly became a surprise hit.

The film grossed an estimated 15.50 Indian crore rupees net during its opening weekend, achieving the highest-ever opening for a Bollywood re-release.

On its fourth day, the film exceeded expectations by earning approximately 3.25 Indian crore rupees net on Monday. Such statistics not only outperformed the Monday collections of other recent releases like ‘Sky Force,’ ‘Deva,’ ‘Badass Ravikumar,’ and ‘Loveyapa,’ but also brought its total net collection to over 18.50 Indian crore rupees in just four days—more than double its original lifetime earnings.
