Pakistan Railways has announced a new ticket refund policy that will also apply to tickets purchased through the “Rabta” app.
Under the new policy, passengers can receive a 90% refund if they request it at least 48 hours before the train’s departure. For refund requests made between 24 to 48 hours prior to departure, 80% of the ticket price will be refunded. If a request is made within 24 hours of departure, passengers will receive 70% of the ticket price.
In cases where a refund request is filed within two hours after the train’s departure, 50% of the ticket price will be refunded. Additionally, if a train is delayed by six hours or more, passengers will be entitled to a full refund.
Tickets purchased at point-of-sale locations can only be returned at the same counters. To obtain a refund, passengers must submit the original ticket along with a copy of their identification card.
It is important to note that no refunds will be issued for tickets purchased online after the train has departed.
