A seven-year-old Bengal tiger has died at Bahawalpur’s historic Sher Bagh due to alleged administrative negligence.
According to Sher Bagh curator Usman Bukhari, the tiger had been suffering from a kidney ailment and was undergoing treatment.
However, a post-mortem report revealed that the tiger died from a combination of a stomach infection and kidney failure. Sher Bagh administration stated that the tiger had stopped eating and drinking three days prior to its death.
The administration also noted that the tiger, born at Sher Bagh seven years ago, had also suffered from an eye condition for the past three years.
