The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences revealed the nominations for the 97th Academy Awards on Thursday.
The winners would be celebrated at a live, televised ceremony in Hollywood on March 2. The nominations were postponed twice due to the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles.
The Netflix musical “Emilia Perez” topped the Academy Award nominations, providing the streaming platform with another opportunity to win its first best-picture Oscar.
Following closely behind are the historical drama “The Brutalist,” which tells the story of a Holocaust survivor and architect pursuing the American dream, and the box-office hit “Wicked,” both of which garnered 10 nominations each.
