Cold wave intensifies across country

The cold wave sweeping across the nation has intensified, with freezing temperatures particularly affecting the northern regions.

In Kalam, Swat, recent snowfall following a prolonged drought has significantly lowered temperatures.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted rain and snowfall in Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir within the next twenty-four hours.

Karachi is also experiencing a chilly climate, with predictions of temperatures dropping to single digits by January 4.

Yesterday, the coldest temperatures were recorded in Skardu and Gupis, where the mercury plummeted to a chilling -9 degrees Celsius.
