Body of IBA Sukkur assistant director found at home

The body of IBA Sukkur University Assistant Director Ishtiaq Memon was found at his residence on Sunday, police said.

Memon’s two sisters were also found unconscious in the house and have since been transferred to the hospital for treatment.

Relatives of Memon broke the lock on the door after failing to reach him by phone, discovering his body and the unconscious sisters inside.

His sister, Faiza, informed the police in her statement that they had eaten dinner and had tea the previous night, after which they lost consciousness.

Memon was responsible for overseeing university examinations, IBA Sukkur Vice Chancellor Asif Sheikh said.

He clarified that the deceased had no involvement with the National Medical and Dental College Admission Test, suggesting that he may have only served as an invigilator during those assessments.

An investigation into the matter was under way and the situation would become clearer after the post-mortem report was released.
