PM Shehbaz likely to visit Russia for talks with President Putin
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is likely to visit Moscow next month to hold crucial talks with the Russian leadership, sources said on Tuesday.
The prime minister is expected to travel to Russia in the first week of March, where he will hold formal talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The discussions are expected to focus on regional peace and security, counterterrorism cooperation, trade, economic ties and the promotion of investment between the two countries.
The sources said the two sides will also review progress on the proposed pipeline project and hold consultations on President Putin’s North-South Corridor initiative.
Separately, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also received an invitation to address the Munich Security Conference, which is scheduled to take place from February 13 to 15.
