The law and order situation in Balochistan, including Quetta, has largely been brought under control after two days of violence, with normal life gradually resuming in the city, though train and internet services remain suspended due to security concerns.

Internet and train services remained suspended in Quetta for the fifth consecutive day, while the National Highway linking Balochistan with Punjab via Dera Ghazi Khan stayed closed.

Traffic flow and business activity have started to resume on Quetta’s roads, with markets reopening under tight security arrangements.

Security forces remain on high alert across the city, with snap checks underway on internal and external routes to maintain law and order.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said the security operation has been completed and claimed that 177 terrorists were killed during the operation.

He added that action against anti-state elements would continue without discrimination.

The imposition of Section 144 and other security measures by the government is helping restore public confidence, officials said.
