A new spell of rain and snowfall has lashed many areas of Azad Kashmir, with sunny conditions in some places and cloudy weather in others.

Cold weather continued in Neelum Valley, authorities said, adding that roads closed due to snowfall are being restored, including the Kel to Taubat to Phulaoi road and the Sharda to Sargan Valley road.

However, the land links to Upper Neelum Valley, Taubat, Helmat, and Nakro remain cut off.

The Kel to Shunthar Valley road has also not been restored, leaving residents confined to their homes.

Authorities are working to reopen other rural roads, including Lawat Bala, but are facing difficulties due to avalanches and landslides.
