Security forces have foiled a series of terrorist attacks across several areas of Balochistan province, including Quetta, Gwadar, Panjgur, Mastung, Noshki, Dalbandin, Kharan, Tump and Pasni, the military said.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces killed a total of 92 terrorists, including three suicide bombers, during the operations.

The military said the number of militants killed over the past two days has now risen to 133.

The ISPR said the militants had carried out coordinated attacks in multiple cities, but a timely and effective response by security forces thwarted their attempts.

During clearance operations, 15 security personnel were martyred, while 18 civilians lost their lives in the attacks, the military said.

The ISPR added that the attackers were in direct contact with their handlers based abroad and that the operations were carried out on the instructions of their leaders operating from outside Pakistan.

Security agencies said sanitisation and search operations are continuing in the affected areas to eliminate any remaining threats.

In a statement, the military said the planners, facilitators and abettors of the attacks would be brought to justice and operations would continue until terrorism is completely eradicated.

Separately, civilians injured in an attack in a labour colony in Gwadar said the assailants targeted unarmed and innocent people.

The wounded said the attack was brutal and that even women and children were not spared.

According to the victims, pleas invoking the sanctity of the Quran and the presence of children were ignored by the attackers.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, speaking alongside Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, said the counterterrorism operation in the province was nearing completion, although further details were still emerging.

He said the targeting of Baloch women and children inside their homes was deeply tragic.

Interior Minister Naqvi said that India was behind the attacks, adding that no individual involved would be spared.

He said security forces had tracked down the militants and that the masterminds were also under close surveillance.

Chief Minister Bugti later visited several areas of the city late at night and met security personnel deployed there.

He said the morale of the forces was high and that they were fully prepared to confront terrorism.

“The designs of the terrorists will not be allowed to succeed,” he said.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the terrorist incidents in Balochistan.

In a statement, the ministry described terrorism as a scourge and expressed deep sorrow and concern over the violence.

The statement said Pakistani security forces were confronting terrorism with an effective strategy, and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s support for the Pakistani government and people in the fight against terrorism.
