Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi on Monday expressed regret over the Sindh government’s behaviour and said the government disrespected ajrak and the Sindhi cap, calling the act “unfortunate.”

Afridi visited the Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi, where he offered fateha and laid a floral wreath. He was accompanied by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders, including Salman Akram Raja and Haleem Adil Sheikh.

Following his visit to the Mazar-e-Quaid, Afridi went to the Sindh High Court, where he was welcomed by the President of the Sindh High Court Bar and presented with a traditional Sindhi cap and ajrak.

Addressing members of the Sindh High Court Bar, Afridi praised the people of Karachi, saying, “I am deeply grateful to the citizens of Karachi. The people of Sindh have big hearts.”

At the same time, he expressed disappointment with the Sindh government, reiterating that “the government has disrespected ajrak and the Sindhi cap.”

Afridi also criticised the federal government’s privatisation policy and the sale of national assets.

The KP chief minister also criticised the current state of the judicial system.

“People always look to the judiciary for justice, but under the current circumstances, its effectiveness seems limited,” he said.

He described the government policies as being against public interest, adding that “the government is selling national assets, and now even justice seems for sale, which is spreading disillusionment among the public.”
