Karachi’s temperature expected to drop into single digits as cold intensifies
Karachi is expected to face a further drop in temperatures from next week, with forecasts suggesting the mercury may fall into single digits.
The city is currently experiencing mild cold and dry weather, with conditions expected to remain dry during the daytime.
Nights are likely to stay chilly, and early-morning light fog is anticipated.
Karachi’s temperature currently stands at 15°C, while humidity is recorded at 57 per cent.
Winds are blowing from the northeast at a speed of 7 kilometres per hour.
The maximum temperature today is expected to range between 30°C and 32°C.
The city’s air quality remains poor, placing Karachi eighth among the world’s most polluted cities.
The concentration of polluted particles has been measured at 170 particulate metres.
Health experts have advised citizens to take precautions and use masks when stepping outside.
