LHC to hear Ducky Bhai’s bail plea on Monday in online gambling promotion case
The Lahore High Court (LHC) has fixed for Monday the bail petition of YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman, widely known as Ducky Bhai, in the case accusing him of promoting online gambling applications.
According to the court roster, Justice Shahram Sarwar will hear the petition, which was filed by the YouTuber through Advocate Imran Chadhar.
The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) and several others have been named as respondents.
The development comes after Justice Farooq Haider recused himself from the case on November 11, prompting the court to forward the file to the chief justice for reassigning it to another bench.
An NCCIA officer had presented a detailed record during the brief proceedings that day.
In his petition, Ducky Bhai argues that the NCCIA arrested him at Lahore airport while he was travelling abroad, despite not issuing any prior notice or summons.
His counsel says the YouTuber remained in NCCIA custody on a 10-day physical remand before being sent to judicial custody.
He faces allegations of promoting illegal gambling apps through his social media platforms.
A Lahore district court had earlier extended his judicial remand by 14 days on November 3 at the FIA’s request to complete the investigation.
The LHC will proceed with the case once the matter is formally taken up on Monday.
