Naqvi calls Wana Cadet College attackers ‘beasts with no connection to humanity’
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday visited Cadet College Wana, which came under attack by Fitna Al Khawarij militants earlier in the week.
Naqvi was warmly received by IG Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa South, Major General Mehr Omar Khan.
During the visit, Naqvi met with the officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps (FC) who successfully foiled the attack by militants and safely rescued all cadets and teachers.
The minister also met with students and faculty, commending their courage and resilience, and was briefed on the details of the foiled attack and the swift rescue operation.
Addressing the media, Naqvi condemned the attackers, calling them “beasts with no connection to humanity” and emphasising that no religion permits targeting children.
“These terrorists have no religion. Calling them human is an insult to humanity,” he said.
He lauded the professionalism, bravery, and dedication of the Pakistan Army and FC personnel, noting that the assailants intended to replicate the APS Peshawar tragedy.
“Our courageous forces foiled the attack, neutralised the terrorists, and completely thwarted their conspiracy,” he added.
The interior minister also announced that Cadet College Wana would be refurbished and upgraded to provide students with a safe and high-quality educational environment.
He described the officers and soldiers involved in the rescue operation as national heroes and a source of pride for Pakistan.
