PCB revises tri-series schedule involving Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe

'Each team will feature in four matches, with the top two sides qualifying for the final'

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that it will revise the tri-series schedule involving Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe on Thursday.

The series was scheduled to be played from November 17 to 29 in Rawalpindi and Lahore.

According to the latest statement by the PCB, all seven matches of the tri-series have been shifted to Rawalpindi, with the opener between Pakistan and Zimbabwe being played on November 18.

The series final will be played on November 29 in Rawalpindi.

Series schedule (all matches at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium):

  • 18 November – Pakistan v Zimbabwe
  • 20 November – Sri Lanka v Zimbabwe
  • 22 November – Pakistan v Sri Lanka
  • 23 November – Pakistan v Zimbabwe
  • 25 November – Sri Lanka v Zimbabwe
  • 27 November – Pakistan v Sri Lanka
  • 29 November –Final

“Each team will feature in four matches, with the top two sides qualifying for the final scheduled on Saturday, 29 November,” said PCB.

After a terrorist incident in Islamabad, the Sri Lankan cricket team, which is currently touring Pakistan for a three-match ODI series, expressed to quit the tour amid security concerns.

However, with the strong diplomacy and security assurance by the Pakistan government and PCB, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board agreed to continue the tour.
