Sindh extends Section 144 across province for one month
The Sindh government has extended the enforcement of Section 144 across the province for one month, continuing the ban on protests, sit-ins, rallies, and public gatherings.
According to a notification issued by the Sindh Home Department, the restrictions will be in effect from November 12, prohibiting the assembly of more than five people in any public place. The order applies to all districts of Sindh.
The notification said the decision was taken due to the prevailing security situation and on the recommendation of the Inspector General of Police.
Copies of the notification have been sent to the Sindh Police, Pakistan Rangers, deputy commissioners, and other relevant authorities to ensure strict enforcement.
The extension follows a similar restriction imposed earlier in October, aimed at maintaining public order and security across the province.
