27th Amendment to be passed on Nov 14: Parliamentary Committee
A meeting of the Parliamentary Business Advisory Committee on Wednesday decided that the 27th Constitutional Amendment will be adopted on November 14.
The meeting was chaired by National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and was attended by leaders from all parliamentary parties.
The meeting decided that the session of the National Assembly would continue until November 14 and also approved the agenda and schedule for the assembly session.
The parliamentary party leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) did not attend the meeting.
In his opening remarks, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq requested that the atmosphere of the meeting remain cordial, stating that Pakistan is currently going through a period of significant diplomatic and parliamentary success.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Senator Azam Nazir Tarar, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Khalid Hussain Magsi, Naveed Qamar, Sheikh Aftab Ahmad, Ijaz Hussain Jakhrani, Nazhat Sadiq, Noor Alam Khan, Syeeda Shehla Raza, Shazia Mari, Ijaz-ul-Haq, and other members.
