27th Amendment: PML-N seeks PPP’s support as Bilawal shares key proposals

President Zardari to decide party policy in CEC meeting

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari shared the insights from his meeting with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) delegation headed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, seeking the “support in passing the 27th amendment.

According to his tweet on X (former Twitter), the PMLN’s delegation asked for the PPP’s support for the major proposals, which includes “setting up a constitutional court, executive magistrates, transfer of judges, removal of protection of provincial share in NFC, amending article 243, return of education and population planning to the federation and breaking dead lock on appointment of Election Commission of Pakistan.”

Former Foreign Minister Bilawal said that the PPP’s Central Executive Committee to meet on November 6 to discuss the proposed amendments.

President Asif Ali Zardari, who’s currently on an official visit to Doha, will decide the party policy upon returning.
