Dengue cases surge in KP as 107 new infections reported within 24 hours
The dengue outbreak in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) continues to spread, as the provincial health department reported 107 new cases in the past 24 hours.
The report stated that 31 new patients have been admitted to different hospitals across the province.
Currently, the total number of active dengue cases in KP stands at 241, while the overall number of reported cases this year has reached 3,511.
According to official data, 55 patients are currently receiving treatment in various hospitals, while a total of 1,447 have been hospitalised in KP since the beginning of the year.
The health department further confirmed that 3,268 patients have recovered from the virus so far, while two deaths have been reported due to dengue this year.
