Tremors felt in Karachi’s Malir area; no casualties reported
Earthquake was recorded 7km northwest of Malir, with a depth of 10km
Tremors were felt in the Malir area of Karachi on Tuesday morning, causing panic among residents.
According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake struck at 9.34am and registered a magnitude of 3.2 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 10 kilometres.
Residents rushed out of their homes and buildings, reciting prayers and verses from the holy Quran.
Fortunately, no loss of life or property damage has been reported so far.
