The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a fresh weather alert, warning of heavy rains across Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan over the next 12 to 24 hours.

According to NDMA, multiple cities in Punjab — including Gujranwala, Sialkot, Lahore, Faisalabad, and Sargodha — are likely to receive rain, while Multan and southern Punjab may experience severe downpours that could trigger flooding and landslides.

In Sindh, torrential rains have been forecast for the southern districts of Thatta, Badin, Hyderabad, and Karachi, while northern parts of the province are expected to see light showers.

The authority also warned of thunderstorms and strong winds in parts of Balochistan, including Zhob, Loralai, and Khuzdar.

Low-lying areas across the three provinces are at risk of urban flooding, officials cautioned.

The NDMA has urged citizens to remain alert, avoid unnecessary travel, and stay informed about local weather updates.
