PM Shehbaz to visit China from Aug 30 for SCO Summit, CPEC talks
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit China from August 30 to September 4, 2025, to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of State Summit in Tianjin.
During the visit, the prime minister will hold bilateral meetings with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang to discuss a wide range of issues, including trade, investment, regional connectivity, and deepening cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Phase-II.
Shehbaz Sharif is also scheduled to attend a military parade in Beijing alongside President Xi and other world leaders, marking the 80th anniversary of the World Anti-Fascist War.
The prime minister will meet prominent Chinese business leaders and corporate executives to promote bilateral trade and investment.
He will also deliver an address at the Pakistan-China B2B Investment Conference in Beijing.
Officials said the visit reflects the importance both countries attach to their “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership,” reaffirming mutual support on core issues and ensuring close coordination on regional and global developments.
