Following recent rains in the Hub district of Balochistan, the Hub Dam has almost reached its capacity, with only six feet of capacity remaining before the spillways need to be opened.

According to a Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) report, the total capacity of the Hub Dam is 340 feet and after the recent rains, the water level has reached 334 feet.

The water capacity of Mirani Dam in Kech district is 246 feet, where 226 feet of water is currently available.

The storage capacity of the Sabkazai Dam in Zhob District is 94 feet, the current water level is 30 feet.

In contrast, due to a lack of rainfall in Gwadar, the water levels in all three dams there have dropped close to dead level.

Gwadar’s Shadi Kaur Dam has a capacity of 82 feet, but only two feet of water is available.

In the Sawar Dam, water level is just 1.5 feet and in the Akurakaur Dam, only two feet of water remains.
