A mother allegedly killed her two children with a sharp-edged weapon on Thursday in Karachi’s Defence Phase VI.

The bodies have been shifted to Jinnah Hospital, police said.

According to SSP South Mahroz Ali, the woman has been taken into custody.

The victims were identified as eight-year-old Zarrar and four-year-old Samiha, children of Ghufran.

Police said the parents were involved in a separation case currently being heard in court.

The children had come to visit their mother when the incident occurred.

SSP South stated that the mother allegedly slit the children’s throats.

Authorities have launched a thorough investigation into the case, examining all possible angles.
