On the night of August 5/6, three Pakistani soldiers were martyred in a terrorist attack targeting a security forces’ vehicle with an improvised explosive device (IED) in Mastung District, Balochistan.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the attack was carried out by terrorists affiliated with “Fitna al Hindustan,” an Indian-backed proxy group.

The martyred soldiers were identified as Major Muhammad Rizwan Tahir (31 years, resident of Narowal District), Naik Ibni Amin (37 years, resident of Swabi District), and Lance Naik Muhammad Younas (33 years, resident of Karak District). All three “paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat,” the ISPR said.

“Major Rizwan Shaheed was a brave officer, who participated in numerous counter terrorism operations and always led his troops from the front,” the statement added.

In the follow-up sanitization operation, four terrorists were located and “sent to hell.”

“Sanitization operation would continue to eliminate any terrorist present in the area, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian Sponsored Terrorism from the country, and such sacrifices of our brave men further strengthen our resolve,” said ISPR.

Security officials reaffirmed their commitment to continue the mission until every last terrorist is neutralized.
