“I will be able to comment only after the vote count. After the results, it will be clear whether the seat-sharing formula worked or not.”

Gandapur said that it would not be appropriate to talk prematurely before the results announcement.

Earlier, voting was suspended for a brief period over the seat allocation formula and other related issues, sources said.

A high-level meeting attended by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Opposition Leader Dr Ibadullah, provincial ministers, and key members of opposition parties held talks to resolve the differences.

In the 145-member KP Assembly, the opposition has 53 members, while the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) enjoys the support of 92 members.

Four government and three opposition candidates contested for the general seats from KP, while two candidates each from the government and the opposition ran for the women’s and technocrat seats.
