Investigation update: No signs of poisoning found in Humaira Asghar’s death
Progress has been made in the investigation into the death of actress Humaira Asghar, with chemical examination reports indicating no signs of poisoning in the samples taken from her body.
Around nine samples were sent to the forensic lab at the University of Karachi, and the Medical Legal Officer (MLO) is expected to announce the official cause of death soon.
Investigations are underway into the mysterious death of Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar, who was found dead in the Defense area of Karachi, while the police have received the forensic report.
According to the investigating authorities, 9 samples taken from the actress’s body were sent to the forensic laboratory of the University of Karachi, whose chemical examination report did not find evidence of poisoning.
According to DIG South, the real cause of death will be clarified in the final report of the MLO, which is likely to be received in the next 24 hours.
It should be noted that Humaira Asghar’s body was recovered from a flat in Ittehad Commercial on July 8 when a court bailiff arrived at the flat for non-payment of rent and forced his way in when the door did not open.
According to the initial post-mortem report, the body was in the final stage of decomposition, which suggests that the actress died about eight months ago. The police are investigating all aspects of the incident.
