Pakistan condemns Israeli attack on Syria
Pakistan strongly condemned the Israeli attack on Syria and demanded respect for international law.
According to the report, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Asim Iftikhar said in a statement on the situation in Syria that Israel’s continuous violations are a sign of unbridledness.
During a briefing on the situation in Syria at the Security Council, Asim Iftikhar said that Israel’s violations are weakening the UN Charter and the international legal system.
He further said that Israel’s attacks on Syria are extremely irrational and harmful. The Pakistani ambassador said that the Israeli attacks are taking place at a time when Syria is going through a delicate but important transitional phase.
He said that after more than a decade of war, a new hope for peace, dignity and the reconstruction of their country is emerging among the Syrian people.
Syria needs solidarity and support at this time. Pakistan expresses its full solidarity with the Syrian people.
On the other hand, Israel’s brutal attacks on Gaza are still ongoing. Ninety-four more Palestinians were martyred in attacks on aid centers and refugee camps.
According to Arab media, 24 Palestinians were killed and several others were injured in a bombardment near an aid center in Khan Younis.
Forty-one people were killed in airstrikes on camps in Gaza City, Jabaliya, and Al-Mawasi. The total number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip is 58,667. 139,607 Palestinians have been injured.
