Karachi weather update: Partly cloudy and humid conditions
The Met Office reports that Karachi is experiencing partly cloudy skies and humid weather today, with a chance of light rain or drizzle in the evening, which could provide some relief from the heat.
Currently, the temperature in Karachi is recorded at 30 degrees Celsius, although it feels like 35 degrees due to humidity levels.
Over the next 24 hours, the maximum temperature is anticipated to reach 35 degrees, while the minimum could fall to 28 degrees Celsius.
Winds are blowing from the southwest at a speed of 16 kilometers per hour, with humidity recorded at 77 percent.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) indicates that Karachi’s air quality is satisfactory, with particulate matter levels at 63, posing no risk to the general public.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain is expected in various regions. The Met Office has forecasted rain in the upper areas over the next 24 hours, with light rain anticipated in the plains during the night.
In Peshawar, daytime temperatures are likely to remain hot and humid, with Bannu recording the highest temperature in the province yesterday at 40 degrees Celsius.
The Met Office advises citizens to stay hydrated in the humid conditions and to avoid unnecessary sun exposure.
Residents are also encouraged to keep in touch with local authorities regarding drainage and traffic issues in the event of rain.
