Shibli Faraz under treatment for serious heart complications at PIC
Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, Senator Shibli Faraz, is undergoing treatment at the Peshawar Institute of Cardiology (PIC) following the discovery of significant heart complications.
Hospital sources have confirmed that blockages have been found in his coronary arteries, putting him at heightened risk of a heart attack.
One of the main arteries, described as a “muscle bridge,” is obstructing blood flow. Faraz has also been experiencing intermittent chest pain and consistently high blood pressure.
A team of cardiologists is closely monitoring his condition and awaiting further test results, after which they will consider whether open-heart surgery is necessary.
Speaking about his health, Shibli Faraz admitted he had been living with heart disease for some time but had not observed the necessary precautions or maintained regular medication. He noted that even mild stress would often trigger health issues.
Appealing to the public for prayers, Faraz vowed to be more vigilant about his health going forward.
Hospital officials stated that his condition is currently stable and that further treatment plans will be finalized once specialists have reviewed all medical reports.
