PM Shehbaz praises record $38.3 billion in remittances for FY 2024-25

PM says increase in remittances is a sign of growing confidence in country's economy

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday expressed his satisfaction at the record remittances received during the fiscal year 2024-25 and resolved that the government was committed to economic prosperity after bringing economic stability.

The prime minister observed that during the year 2024-25, overseas Pakistanis had sent remittances worth $38.3 billion, which surpassed remittances recorded in the corresponding period of fiscal year 2023-24 by $8 billion, the PM Office’s Media Wing said in a statement.

He also termed the increase as a positive trend.

“The record surge in remittances reflects expatriate Pakistanis’ valuable contributions and their confidence in the national economy,” the prime minister added.

He maintained that the recent positive economic indicators were a manifestation of the government’s policies towards the right direction.
