How Pakistan Navy confined India to its waters
During Pakistan’s Operation Bunyanun Marsoos against India, the Pakistan Navy demonstrated exceptional performance, effectively confining the Indian Navy to its own waters and preventing any maritime aggression towards Pakistan.
The Indian Navy lacked the courage to confront Pakistan Navy in southern waters. Due to the Pakistan Navy’s vigilant monitoring and continuous presence, no Indian ship or aircraft attempted to advance towards Pakistani waters.
The Indian aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, which could have posed a significant threat, was rendered ineffective due to Pakistan Navy’s sound strategy and operational posture.
Pakistan’s strong naval presence in the south enabled the armed forces to achieve their objectives successfully in the north and northeast regions.
Despite heightened tensions, all three of Pakistan’s key ports—Karachi Port, Port Qasim, and Gwadar Port—continued functioning normally, showcasing the success of Pakistan Navy’s defensive strategy.
By keeping a significantly larger adversary restricted to its own waters, Pakistan Navy dealt a blow to Indian naval ambitions, ensuring full protection of Pakistan’s sea trade routes and coastal areas.
This achievement is credited to the leadership, officers, and sailors of the Pakistan Navy, who vigilantly guarded national waters and denied the enemy any opportunity for hostility.
