On the directives of the government, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has postponed the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 in light of rising tensions along the Line of Control (LoC).

The decision was announced by the PCB following a significant escalation on the LoC over the past 24 hours. The board cited the ongoing national security situation, including the reported incursion of 78 Indian drones and missile fire, as the primary reason behind halting the tournament.

According to the PCB, the move was taken on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and reflects Pakistan’s solidarity with its armed forces. “This decision is meant to honour our martyrs and security personnel, and to show unity with the military during these sensitive times,” the PCB stated.

Acknowledging concerns raised by players and foreign cricketers, the board said it made the choice to suspend cricket activities in respect of the national mood and in line with prevailing security risks.

Earlier, the PCB had announced that the remaining eight matches of PSL 10 would be shifted to Dubai. However, given the deteriorating situation, the board has now decided to suspend the tournament entirely until further notice.
