An Islamabad district and sessions court has acquitted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zartaj Gul in two cases related to the Azadi March.

Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan Chishti announced the decision after hearing arguments from both sides.

He ruled that there was not enough evidence against Gul and ordered her acquittal.

The court has adjourned the hearing for the other accused in the case until May 27.

Police had registered two cases against Zartaj Gul and others at Bara Kahu Police Station.

Earlier, the court had also acquitted the PTI founder and several senior leaders in the same cases.
