In the wake of escalating tensions and Indian attacks in Pakistan between India and Pakistan, Pakistani authorities have restored access to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), which had been largely inaccessible since February 2024.

The platform was initially blocked following allegations of election rigging during the February 2024 general elections, leading to nationwide protests. The ban was justified by the government on grounds of national security and maintaining public order.

However, after military exchanges with India on Tuesday night, including missile strikes, the Pakistani government has lifted the restrictions on X.

This move allows citizens to access real-time updates and share information amid the ongoing crisis.
