Traffic accident claims two lives in Karachi
Karachi witnessed a tragic incident on April 29, when a truck collided with a motorcycle in Bhains Colony, resulting in the deaths of two individuals.
The accident occurred on Road Number 10, where the truck struck the motorcycle, causing instant fatalities for the riders.
A third person on the bike sustained severe injuries and was promptly taken to a hospital for treatment.
The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the crash, leaving authorities to manage the aftermath.
This incident is part of a concerning trend in Karachi, where 107 fatalities have been reported from road accidents in the first 45 days of 2025. Among the victims, there were 78 men, 14 women, 11 children, and 4 girls.

A report from the Chhipa Welfare Association also noted that at least 1,493 individuals were injured in these accidents, with most incidents involving heavy vehicles such as dumpers, trailers, and oil tankers.
In response to the rising number of accidents, traffic police have issued over 34,000 traffic violations and arrested nearly 500 drivers.
