Lady Gaga has claimed that she wrote her iconic 2011 hit, Born This Way in just 10 minutes.

The Grammy-winning artist said this while appearing on an episode of Hot Ones with Sean Evans.

Evans brought up Gaga’s previous comment comparing the songwriting process to “immaculate conception”.

In a moment of surprise, Gaga exclaimed, “Oh my God, I said that?” She elaborated that many of her songs come to her quickly, describing the experience as one of “listening” and receiving inspiration.

Born This Way achieved remarkable success, becoming iTunes’ fastest-selling single and topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
