K-Electric consumers may face Rs3.45 per unit hike
If the regulator accepts the plea, Karachi consumers will have to bear the burden of Rs6.64 billion.
A Rs3.45 per unit hike in price of electricity under fuel price adjustment of September is expected for K-Electric consumers, according to an Aaj News report on Thursday.
It was expected that National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) will hear plea of the distribution company on November 3.
If the regulator accepts the plea, Karachi consumers will have to bear the burden of Rs6.64 billion.
In other news, a public hearing related to industrial consumers of K-Electric has been concluded and the authority will issue the judgment, after the scrutiny of figures.
